Training Runs

Two formal training runs are planned on the Fools 25k course:

Special notice regarding the March 13 training run. There are two starts:

- 7 a.m. at Happy Days (meet 6:45 a.m.) Vince will lead the 7 a.m. group on a 50 minute run before meeting up with the 8 a.m. group at Pine Hollow.

- 8 a.m. at Pine Hollow (meet 7:45 a.m.) This group will run the entire Fools 25k course. The 25k can be abbreviated in a number of ways, including omitting 3.5 mile Boston Run.

- Saturday, March 13, 2010, 8:00 AM, at Pine Hollow (Start/Finish of the Fools Run)

Plan is to run the entire 25k course. (Shorter option: Omit the Boston Run (Blue) loop at Happy Days. Decreases 25k distance from 15.5 miles to 12.2 miles)

At least two pace groups will be offered and no one will be left behind. Most can finish the 25k in 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Come prepared with water bottle and fluids. Except for Pine Hollow start/finish, there is no public water available during this run unless provided on your own.


- Sunday February 28, 2010, 7:45 AM sharp, at Happy Days parking lot (Happy Days is the mile 5 aid station of the Fools Run, located on Route-303). (Optional 7 AM start for self-guided run on the 3.5 mile Boston Run [Blue Loop].)

Plan at 8 AM is to run the 12.2 miles of the Fools 25k course. Using the color codes of the course map, the route will follow the race course on Purple-Orange-Yellow. Total distance 12.2 miles. Add the Boston Run (Blue Loop) to complete the entire 25k.

Most can finish the 25k in 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Come prepared with water bottle and fluids. Water and restroom available at Pine Hollow.
